Artist Statement
“No matter where you stand in the world, you can feel different vibrations and the energy from all cities. Some cities are faster and noisier. Others are slower and quieter but always on the run. Some are feminine, delicate and full of details. Others are masculine, vigorous and full of surprises. This is where I base my art, this is what gives me strength and inspiration: beauty, lights, movements, people and rhythms of life. Using my photography training, images get caught in my mind like stills”. When I capture these moments, my paintings come to life with great joy, basic order and balance. When I work, my heart is the master, my eyes are the tool and my mind is the servant of my imagination, emotions and sensibilities. Together they guide me. My art is laced and bound together by its lines, it flows in currents. I hope it will catch your sight and attract your interest.”

“Frequently I wonder what a viewer sees while first looking at a painting? As for me, I don’t see anything. I just let my senses roam, expecting to live a great experience: like a good meal when you have appetite, you start eating without preconceptions. Your first contact with a work of art is just as crucial:‘I like it or not’. Art surprises you, fascinates you with its light and shadows…Makes you live a moment of intimacy, gives you the sense of déjà vu, the deep knowledge of understanding its place. This is the feeling I strive to bring to life through my work.”

“The art is there, in the universe of forms, light, materials, energy and colors. They are there to be discovered for individuals named artists and also for in each one of us through their creations”
